First 2019 Consortium Plenary and Sub-projects Meeting of CROSSBOW
On 26th-28th February, CROSSBOW Project organised its first Consortium Plenary and Sup-Projects Meeting of 2019 in order to discuss the progress and developments carried out so far. The University of Manchester hosted the meeting.
This time, parallel meetings were organised to address the different work packages between the respective partners involved.
The conclusions reached will allow to keep progressing and devolving the set of technological solutions of CROSSBOW which enable increasing the shared use of resources to foster transmission networks cross-border management of variable renewable energies and storage units, making possible a higher penetration of clean energies whilst reducing network operational costs and improving economic benefits of RES and storage units.
The meeting wrapped up with two seminars: “Unintended consequences of UK electricity market rules” presented by Mr. David Alcock, CEO Energy Infrawstructure Division UK and Ireland of ENGIE and “The use of energy storage for dynamic voltage support and flexible system operation” presented by Dr. Biljana Stojkovska PhD Ceng MIET and Power Potential Project Lead of Networks nationalgridESO.
As a very important project, CROSSBOW consortium agreed to boost its presence in European and international events to present its founds and results as important part of the dissemination and communication actions.
