D6.1 Analysis of existing infrastructure and feasibility of cross border energy storage

This deliverable provides an overview of the existing large-scale energy storage systems, future availability, and use of different distributed energy storage technologies at regional and pan-European level, for provision of different types of services to transmission network with the emphasis on improved cross-border power transfer and voltage and frequency regulation services. In the second part, the general feasibility of cross-border energy storage and resulting requirements for the upcoming implementation of STO-CC are analysed
