EUSEW 2019: Shaping Europe’s Energy Future

“Shaping Europe’s Energy Future: moving towards carbon free electricity by 2050” will be the theme of the European Sustainable Energy Week 2019 (EUSEW19), which will take place 17-21 June in Brussels, as announced yesterday the European Commission. This theme aims at meeting the targets of Paris Agreement and EU’s long-term strategy for Energy Transition.

Integration of digital technologies, such as Internet of Things and Big Data, Energy Transition, and competitiveness of the energy market are among key policy topics for EUSEW19.

Besides, a part of EUSEW19 focus is looking for the investment and Energy Transition public-private sector economics and how to best finance energy efficiency and renewable energy.

The annual event is built on 4 pillars: the Policy Conference, the Sustainable Energy Awards, the Networking Village and the Energy Days events across the EU. European Commission announced already the deadline of those calls for participants.

The 5 categories for the EUSEW19 Sustainable Energy Award are Engagement, Leadership, Innovation, Youth and Citizens’ Award.
