24/05/2018 A seminar under the name “Market oriented electric power systems with distributed generators and electricity storage systems” was held on 14 May at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (ETF) in Podgorica, which was officially opened by the Minister of Science Dr Sanja Damjanović. The seminar was held the seminar was held within CrossBow, the common project of Crnogorski elektroprenosni sistem and ETF.
TSCNET: CROSSBOW kick-off event in Sofia
18/11/2017 Sometimes complex issues require adequately complex designations. This is the case with the research project for “CROSS BOrder management of variable renewable energies and storage units enabling a transnational Wholesale market”, or in short: CROSSBOW. This multi-partner project belongs to the currently most relevant innovation projects of the EU in the smart grids sector. It is financed by the European Commission with €17.99m under the framework of the Horizon 2020 programme. The kick-off meeting for CROSSBOW was held in the Bulgarian capital of Sofia on 9 and 10 November.

7/09/2017 The “CROSSBOW” (CROSS BOrder management of variable renewable energies and storage units enabling a transnational Wholesale market) project was selected to be financed by the European Commission within the Horizon 2020 Programme, the Transelectrica informs in a release sent on Friday to AGERPRES.
Cyber-Grid: Integration of batteries into a sustainable energy system
The European Commission’s vice president in charge of the Energy Union, Maroš Šefčovic, said “[batteries] development and production play a strategic role in the ongoing transition to clean mobility and clean energy systems”. Projects such as CROSSBOW are underway to integrate batteries into a sustainable energy system to leverage the battery value chain, from materials to system integration and recycling.

The Smart grids Research Unit (Smart RUE) of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the NTUA participates in CROSSBOW project. CROSSBOW (CROSS BOrder management of variable renewable energies and storage units enabling a transnational Wholesale market) project, proposes the shared use of resources to foster cross-border management of variable renewable energies and storage units, enabling a higher penetration of clean energies whilst reducing network operational costs and improving economic benefits of clean energies and storage units.
